Tim wrote this post earlier to voice his concern about the blog post from Adam Boulton of Sky News about Daniel Hannan.
But his colleague, Peter Spencer, has just posted on the Sky News blog himself and sensibly sums up the ludicrousness of the situation whereby the whole day's news has been dominated by a disagreement on policy between a party leader and a backbench MEP.
In a post titled "Silly... silly... silly", Peter Spencer writes:
"The suggestion that David Cameron agrees with Mr Hannan's long held and oft-expressed view [about the NHS]... is palpably absurd."
Exactly. So how the media can justify having spent a whole news cycle on the issue, I do not know.
