I am delighted to report that CentreRight contributor Graeme Archer has passed a Parliamentary Assessment Board that he took last week and is now a full member of the Conservative Party's Approved List of Candidates for Westminster constituencies.
It was my honour to be one of Graeme's referees and I wish him every success in finding a seat to fight at the next General Election. Any Association that adopts him will be fortunate to have such an intelligent and passionate representative.
I know that many Tory members have told me that they will be suspicious of any people who have come through the PAB process since David Cameron opened it up at the start of the summer. Graeme's success shows that the top ups to the candidate list are not just newbies but include some people who have been longstanding party members.
