So, the European Commission President, Jose Manuel Barroso, "regrets" that the Conservatives are leaving the EPP.
Several things strike me:
- What's it got to do with him?
- How many members of the British public care for the opinions of the EC President, let alone when they relate to the internal machinations of the Conservative Party?
- Won't any self-respecting Tory eurosceptic wear actually Barroso's "regret" as a badge of honour and take it as an additional sign that it is completely the right thing to be doing?
