In the United States, a great conservative legal movement has developed, led by organisations such as The Federalist Society and the Institute for Justice. While the Society of Conservative Lawyers does great work in the UK in terms of fostering legal debate among Tory-inclined solicitors, barristers and law students, the right in this country has generally been less impressive in terms of using the law creatively or proactively.
I am currently coordinating a team of solicitors, barristers and law students who are interested in exploring ways to be more creative and proactive in supporting and advancing a conservative agenda through the courts. If you are a solicitor, barrister or law student and you are interested in taking on the left on territory that the left has considered its own for too long, drop me an email at [email protected].
