I think that Hamas, not Israel, was responsible for the destruction in Gaza. It was Hamas, not Israel, that demonstrated a callous disregard for innocent life.
But, despite this, I still think that the BBC SHOULD have broadcast the DEC Gaza appeal. Whatever you view on causes of the conflict, there is no question that hundreds on innocent Palestinians need immediate humanitarian help. The thought of children in need is especially painful.
If the tables were turned and, god forbid, Hamas had killed hundreds of Israeli civilians, do you not think that the BBC should have broadcast an appeal on their behalf? I do.
What happened to compassionate conservatism?
