Prince Harry's "Paki" remark is leading this morning's news bulletins after the News of the World revealed that he called an army comrade a "Paki" in 2006. Of course it was a stupid thing to say - and offensive to many - but watching the video it comes with zero menace.
Tory MP Patrick Mercer is quoted by the News of the World as saying that Harry's remark was "unforgivable". I hope that's a misquote. Of course it's forgiveable. Prince Harry has served his country very bravely in Afghanistan - doing more for the freedom of Muslim people, for example, than most of his armchair critics ever will.
Harry has said sorry. I hope he is. Let's move on.
