I was disappointed to learn that The Telegraph has cancelled Iain Dale's fortnightly column.
Iain is one of the best connected people in the Conservative Party and his pieces always provided interesting insights. Although he was at the heart of David Davis' bid to be Tory leader, Iain has become very supportive of David Cameron's leadership and that cannot be said of every Telegraph columnist.
It is important that The Telegraph finds other voices within its editorial pages to balance the scepticism of Janet Daley and the opposition of Simon Heffer... and I say that as someone who agrees with most of the Daley worldview.
