The security services have, for some time, been painting a pretty dire picture of the scale of the home grown terrorist threat facing Britain. Even so, if the reports the Evening Standard are getting from India, that two of the terrorists in Mumbai were British, are correct then that will raise a huge number of questions about whether we're doing nearly enough to confront radical, violent Islam in Britain.
In the short term, it makes the arrest of Damian Green look like an even more dismal episode. While British born terrorists were running amok in Mumbai, British counter-terrorist police were busy harassing opposition politicians for embarassing the Government.
