Nice piece by Bill Kristol in yesterday's NY Times (Hey, liberals, don't worry) where he explains, as a compassionate conservative, that he feels for his liberal friends should McCain win today.
Kristol goes on to list five reasons why liberals "should be cheerful" about a McCain victory (he's an underdog, anti-establishment, he's not George Bush, it will be a victory for freedom and liberals can rally around a new hate figure!).
As Kristol concludes, on the off-chance that Obama wins I hope there are some compassionate liberals out there that will spare a thought for us conservatives!
