Baroness Ashton's confirmation hearing before the International Trade committee of the European Parliament in Strasbourg is currently underway.
For the Conservative Party, Robert Sturdy MEP and Syed Kamall MEP are leading the questioning.

The committee will vote on her nomination at around 10:00pm GMT. If successful at the committee stage, her nomination will be voted on by the entire European Parliament on Wednesday.
