Obama's nine point lead from a few days ago has evaporated. The latest Gallup daily poll shows Obama and McCain almost neck and neck at 45% to 44%.
This race is going to be extremely tight, and the assumption of some British pundits that Obama will be a shoo-in for the White House is wishful thinking.
