The American right-wing blogs seemed certain last night that Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota was John McCain's choice for veep. Karl Rove himself called it for Pawlenty on Fox. The hot rumour this morning, however, is that Pawlenty will not be in Ohio and that Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska, former beauty queen and mother of five, including a baby with Down's syndrome and a son in the military, may be the choice.
Unlike Geraldine Ferraro, with the polls this close, McCain's VP may actually make it to the White House. In my opinion Palin would be an electrifying pick. Fingers crossed.
