Indications on the BBC, Sky, and the Guardian are that Davena Rankin may, following a strong campaign, have come third in Glasgow East and that the SNP may have won the seat.
The seat is one of Labour's safest in Scotland. A loss or even a close result would be an utter disaster for the party as a whole and not just Gordon Brown.
