I almost choked on my organic muesli this morning while listening to the Today programme's political correspondent explain Wisconsin-style welfare reform. It seems that lone parents are only allowed to claim benefits for two years, after which they are "literally pushed off a cliff."
Now, I'm all in favour of radical welfare reform, but I think this is taking things too far!
