Last night caps a dreadful time for Gordon Brown. It was a complete and utter disaster. Polling indicates Brown is one of the lowest regarded Prime Ministers of recent times. There seems no ray of sunshine on the horizon for him. So what do Centre Right readers think will happen next? Will Brown stagger on to 2010 or might Labour be better off going to the country next year? People said losing Glasgow East would be the end of Brown - do you see this or predict he will hang on to the bitter end?
I can't help feeling the whole tale has an air of tragedy. An inheritance long awaited that turns to dust. The carousel of politics turns and turns again - there, by the grace of God, go we all. How long will it be before people start making comparisons with Bonar Law, the "forgotten Prime Minister"?
