This story from the current East London Advertiser really ought to be more widely read. An example of politics at its most degrading.
Former Lib Dem council leader Eric Flounders comes out with the apposite quote:
"They [Labour] got rid of a perfectly good policy at the time because it was politically convenient to shout 'racism'.
"If it was a bad policy then, why's it good now?"
