A leaked diplomatic memo detailing the Irish Government’s advice for intentionally deceiving the Irish electorate over the Treaty of Lisbon’s real impact is a massive betrayal of the Irish electorate and the various peoples of Europe. The silence of the Irish and the UK Government’s – now caught red-handed with Lisbon Treaty information signalling the intentional deception of the Irish people – on the real case of what this Treaty will mean to the people, along with the conniving tactics used by foreign governments exerting pressure, and their imperceptive national press, shows how far the deception reaches.
It is like contriving a general election result, if not, worse. Both the Irish and UK Governments have sat in their Parliaments to question Mugabe’s anti-democratic tactics but here in Europe, they have with absolute cunning, connived to bring about a fraudulent European government they know to have been agreed from the start. Same difference. After this grand scale of deception, and with the failures of political parties to talk of the issues, it is an outrage that our existing national Parliaments are still allowed to go on, ‘business as usual’. The memorandum details the contrived conditions so that it can fix a ‘yes’ vote. The memo also reported on delaying the referendum in October, which would have been ideal if it were not for “…the risk of unhelpful developments during the French presidency – particularly related to EU defence – were just too great. (Nicola) Sarkozy was completely unpredictable.”
