Greg wrote in praise of Andrew Gilligan last week following his award, so I thought I'd turn the tables and pay a little tribute to his work over the last year as he's also been behind several probing questions and cutting quotes about Livingstone of late.
Just looking at his postings on CentreRight in the last few months he's managed to break new stories and find new angles on existing stories that have then gone on to be picked up more widely. Including, of course, his exposé of Nick Clegg's CUCA membership a few days ago.
MPs are all very different to one another in the roles they primarily fulfil: party attack dogs, chamber warriors, committee scrutineers, glorified social workers/councillors, policy experts, writers, single-issue campaigners etc. Greg manages to fulfil most of these functions and remains a genuinely nice guy.
