Today's Evening Standard/YouGov poll shows a tightening of the race with Boris.
According to the poll.
- Boris 45% (Down 4)
- Livingstone 39% (Up 3)
- Brian Paddick 12% (Up 2)
- Sian Berry (Green Patry) 2% (Unchanged.)
The good news is that when second preferences are allocated Boris's lead over Livingstone stretches from 6% to 8%. He is ahead by 54% to 46%. This is the figure that counts. The other good news, of course, was yesterday's Observer/MORI poll going in the other direction and putting Boris in the lead. But any Conservative supporters who had imagined they could put their feet up and relax for the next 18 days have a warning to the contrary.
