Last week Alexander Deane submitted a review of Plato's Children for the Platform blog but it prompted the idea that ConservativeHome should really offer its own regular review of important books. Alex's review launches this blog but also posted are some of the book reviews that the old Renewing One Nation team produced for that group's now defunct website.
'R1N' was founded in 2000 by Lord Kalms and William Hague to identify Conservative solutions to social exclusion. Its work was largely taken over by the Centre for Social Justice when it was launched in summer 2004.
