Behind-the-scenes at CCHQ on '44% night'

Tim Montgomerie was in CCHQ for election night.  Here are some behind-the-scenes images from the ConservativeHome camera:

Thepod

ABOVE: 'The Pod' is the heart of the CCHQ war room.  Communications chief Andy Coulson listens to Eric Pickles' latest report from the frontline.  Tim Chatwin sits between them.

Maudesamcam

ABOVE: Contrary to Tamzin Lightwater's Diary, this photo is proof that Francis Maude can be happy!  He laughs with Platform10's Fiona Melville as David Cameron chats with Samantha.

HenryetcABOVE: Charles Barwell, Fiona Melville, Francis Maude, Henry Macrory, Don Porter and David Cameron gather round 'The Pod'.  Note the screen in the bottom left hand corner... showing ConservativeHome.

Innerteam

ABOVE: Andrew Griffiths (Eric Pickles' Chief of Staff), Ed Llewellyn (DC's CoS), Matt Hancock (George Osborne's CoS), Board Member Charles Barwell, Kate Fall, (DC's Deputy CoS), Fiona Melville and Francis Maude.

MasterofceremoniesABOVE: The Master of Ceremonies, Eric Pickles.  Eric was the centre of events tonight.  No statement was issued until it was given the green light by him.  His knowledge of local and regional particulars is very impressive and staff clearly respect him greatly.

Good photos chaps! Well, I've never seen Francis Maude smile like that...wonder if he knows something we don't at this stage?
Love Eric's braces as well - pity the photos aren't colour as I expect they're bright red ones!

Great stuff! Radio Five is facinating right now with Labour supporters queueing up to put the boot into Gordon Brown. The anger in the voices is more telling than the content. Coco Blears is about to go on air and take a few more custard pies in the face.

A strong set of results, let's take this opportunity to secure a general election win. There is still a lot of work to do. For now, all eyes on City Hall ... come on Boris!

I love these. Any more anecdotes Tim?

Whats with the white shirts?
