Kris Hopkins, our candidate in Keighley and Ilkley has sent in these two photographs from Bradford's celebration of St George's Day. Click on the images to enlarge them. He commented:
"There appears to be some surprise in the media about the fact that Bradford hosted a St George's Day parade today. But there was no reason for anyone to be surprised. This morning's parade - which featured school children from across the district as well as the Bishop of Bradford, civic leaders and anyone else who wanted to join in - was fun and, judging by the faces of people who came along to watch, hopefully it will now become an annual event. Bradford district is a place of many identites but there is also a shared identity. St George's Day seemed the perfect date to underline this reality."
