Toby Harnden, U.S. Editor of The Daily Telegraph, has an excellent critique of Boris Johnson's frivolous show of support for Barack Obama.
Can you imagine New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg penning a swooning endorsement of Gordon Brown while mocking David Cameron? It would never happen. Bloomberg is of course also rather busy running a city of 12 million people.
