Is Boris mania getting out of hand?
Boris shouldn't let Michael Portillo's dubious verdict get him down too much. Emmet Tyrrell, Editor in Chief of the American Spectator, is calling for Boris Johnson (American-born and therefore eligible) one day to run for President of the United States.

Did he not renounce his citizenship in a fit of rage having been denied entry on his British passport? How would that affect his eligability?

No, it isn't getting out of hand. After eight years of Ken the Trot we need this breath of fresh air.

American conservatives would not back Boris because of his adultery and lying repeatedly about it.

why are the Conservatives so much against Barry Obama and not Clinton? Is it because Obama sound foreign? or because He is darker?

Patrick - they don't like him because he's popular and seems nice, and is pretty much everything they aren't.
He's also not mad - like Bush.

@Patrick.
It's BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.
Sheesh!

"why are the Conservatives so much against Barry Obama and not Clinton? Is it because Obama sound foreign? or because He is darker?"
it's because of his left-wing voting record and the fact that his campaign is powered by media hype and saying "change" a lot. hilary has had to move to the right to win mover voters scared of her hard-left history. obama has managed to hide his and so if he gets into power it will be like labour running america.

Steve you are mad...
Obama is good mates with a terrorist (Bill Ayers) who has no regrets about planting bombs in the 60s. His preacher of 20 years (who married him, baptised his children) is a jew-hating, American/white people hating racist lunatic. Oh yes and Obama thinks mid-Westerners are a bunch of gun totting, religious nutters who are bitter. His wife is not too fond of her country of birth either.
Obama gets the nomination and he will get trounced in Nov. Most sane Dems know that and are really in a pickle.

Fair point Andrew - so why do you think that Tories like Iain Dale are endorsing him?
Has politics of style now completely crushed the stark reality behind the shiny veneer?

Oh do get a life 'Not Boris', what a truly moronic point to make.

As someone who has been a bit of a Boris fan for a year or two after reading his books, I just hope that the Boris bandwagon doesn't crash. After all, nearly everyone seems to be jumping on, and not for all the right reasons. I'm a supporter of his because I like the guy, and agree with many of his views. Not because he is rather witty, and has crazy hair!

His sister seems to be milking his new found fame.
She has been on Adam Bolton and question time.
Reminds me of carol Thatcher, if she was not the daughter of the great Lady people wpuld laugh her off the TV for her ridiculous bleached hair and her even more ridiculous junk jewellery.
The woman cannot even speak correctly.
