Prime Ditherer

Marvelous - the Prime Ditherer does it again!! First, he would not say whether he would meet the Dalai Lama or not. Then, and only when pushed by David Cameron at the height of Tibet's current crisis, he announced he would. Secondly, he said firmly that unlike President Sarkozy, he would not consider boycotting the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Beijing. Now, I hear from Channel 4 news, he has decided that he will not attend the opening ceremony - BUT ..... he WILL attend the closing ceremony. Reminiscent of his turning up late for the signing of the Lisbon Treaty - er, I mean European Constitution. Dithering in the face of tyrants is not impressive.
