Donal Blaney has a good suggestion for the Conservative Party. Reduce the charge for running an exhibit at the party's annual conference from the thousands of pounds it now costs so that organisations like the TaxPayers' Alliance and the Bow Group could run stalls. The party has long welcomed such groups running speaker events at conference, and in my experience too there seems to be plenty of empty space for them to run stalls as well.
Walking around the Blackpool conference last year, I saw stands for organisations like the RSPCA, the teachers' unions and even anti-vivisectionists, but relatively few run by grassroots conservative organisations. This proposal might remedy this. If an across-the-board reduction would cut too much into revenues, then it seems perfectly fair to charge non-profits whose goals are broadly in line with the party's less than corporate exhibitors.
